Nocturnal Meditations, Dream Yoga, and Sleep Yoga
What are the nocturnal meditations? And how do they relate to our normal everyday meditations? How can meditation promote healthy sleep at night? What is the extraordinary opportunity of bringing more wakefulness to our dream states and in-between states? Join Andrew Holecek for an incredible conversation about night time spiritual practices to help us go beyond the ego and "wake down" to a much larger possibility of who we actually are... and how to integrate this into daily life.
In This Session:
- There is a rich tradition of nocturnal meditations that includes lucid dreaming, dream yoga, and sleep yoga. Because our society tends to be wake centric, the invitation of night time practice and deeper states of consciousness gets over-looked.
- Nocturnal meditation enables people to work with deeper parts of the psyche and liminal "in between" states of consciousness. Research shows that these practices can cultivate tremendous healing and personal well-being.
- These practices empower meditators to access even greater clarity about the choice we have in every moment to go beyond the ego and remember who really are.
